Bank North Fargo ’s Certificates of Deposit
If you have extra money on hand that you won’t need for a while, but you don’t want to put it in a risky investment, a certificate of deposit (CD) may be perfect for you.
CDs are similar to savings accounts because they’re insured by the FDIC, which means they are very low-risk. However, you receive a higher interest rate than normal savings accounts because you’re agreeing to not touch that money for a period of time (typically between a few months and a few years). We offer CDs in 1 month, 6 month, 12 month, 36 month, and 48 month terms, but we can be flexible if you need a different time period.
